How we keep reviews fair and safe

Tiger Ratings is here to help students pick classes, not to tear anyone down. Here's what happens behind the scenes every time someone posts or reports a review.

Every review is checked first

Reviews are anonymous and go to a moderator before they show up on the site. Moderators can edit, trim, or reject any review.

AI screening New

Before a comment is submitted, an AI screener reads it. It asks you to take a second look at wording that might be a problem, and blocks comments that cross the line, like personal attacks, comments about a teacher's personal life, or specific accusations that can't be checked. It often suggests a better way to say it.

Word filter New

Profanity and slurs are caught while you type, and a review that contains them can't be submitted.

Comments that say something New

A comment is either left blank (ratings only) or between 100 and 300 characters. That keeps out one-word insults and makes every written review useful to the next student.

Flag any review New

Every review has a small flag in its corner. Tap it and pick a reason: a personal attack, an untrue claim, comments on appearance or personal life, private information, a threat, or something else. Flagged reviews are usually checked within 48 hours, and if several different people flag the same review, it's hidden automatically until a moderator looks at it.

For teachers New

Teachers can flag a review about themselves and check “I'm the teacher this review is about.” That hides the review right away until it's checked. More for teachers

Report a concern

Spotted something that isn't about one review, like a bug, a missing teacher, or a bigger problem? Send it through Report a concern. It goes straight to a moderator.

Your privacy

No accounts and no names. Reviews and reports are anonymous, and we never store your IP address with them, only a scrambled one-way code that helps stop spam.

Reviews are student opinions about classroom experience. By posting, you agree to the Terms of Use.
